Welcome to our new website of CTS - CLUB TELESCOUT !

Some time ago we have decided to switch our previous web site www.telescout.org - based on pure HTML - to the last technical state. Here you can see the result as ready Joomla website - here you can find for some information

Some technical details:

• Content Management System (CMS) Joomla 1.0.16 Stable (Actual version)
• Actually 1000 MB Webspace at our provider www.profihost.com
  ( We started with 200 MB - but Profihost offers now 1000 MB for the same price ! )
• Maximum 20.000 MB data transfer
• PHP 5, MYSQL-data base

The most important built-in features are:

• You can handle the website from every place in the world connected with the internet.
  e.g. you can put reports of the place of the event directly on the web site.
• The new website comes bilingual in german and english language.
  The respective translations into English must always be prepared extra.
• All changes at articles are feasible always and any time and do not need a comprehensive change of several HTML pages any more as early.
• All articles are also visible as PDF and can sent by email and printed.
• The appointment book is callable also according to a way of the event and you can specifically look for events according to the name.
• Information can be shown by web pages which there are in the RSS format at the news feed. This concerns primarily newspapers but also ORF or the ÖVSV - one is always that way at the regular and at the last state with his information.
• We have a primarily advertising free visitor's book of our own.
• We have a new chatroom of our own.
• We have an advertising free picture gallery of our own especially made for our website.
• We have an advertising free search function of our own (contains our complete website).
• We have an advertising free forum of our own.
  ( If you would like to write in the forum you must register yourself first. )
• We have a visitors counter of our own, which counts every IP-address only 1 x.

The most important thing comes at the final:

The web site can be formed by several persons, where several editors produce the different contents quite exactly like at a newspaper office.

Following write authorities are valid in the practice:

1. Simple User - valid for all users - Write authorities only at the guestbook
2. Registered User - the user have to register himself with username and passwort on our website 
3. Authors - especially our own member, but could be also an other scout from any country
4. Publisher - has already much extremely write authorities - only our "boss" OE1EOA
5. Super Administrator - this is only the webmaster of www.telescout.org - OE1CIW

Why the distinction - What is possible now for the individual users ?

Simple Users can only have a look at our website - just see the pages and write contributions at our guestbook.

Registered Users can either write own contributions or answer other contributions in addition in the forum - they can also suggest links of other web pages.

Authors can write their own contributions and edit their own contributions in addition.
However, the ready contributions get visible only after activating by the super administrator for the other users (before, the contributions still can - if necessary - be corrected or completed by the Publisher and by the super administrator). Every author gets the information on the upper edge of the contribution after storage of his contribution, that the contribution is activated after assessment by the super administrator:"Thank you for your contribution. Your article is examined first before it appears."

Publisher can edit also edit articles from other authors in addition.  He has also the possibility, to make his own changes and to see the result in the website after editing immediately.

Super Administrator - only he can do and may everything ! This is the webmaster ONLY und exclusive. I hope for understanding, but to setup this new website took a lot of time and i don´t want to do it again, if it´s not necessary.

Check it out everything - if you become a registered user or author, you see a window with your personal data at the right site of our webpage below the visitors counter. Here you can also suggest links of other web pages and - if your are an author - write your own contributions !
